FVC League Expansion

Fairfax Volleyball Club Members,

I am very pleased to announce an expansion of our leagues. We very recently signed a contract to acquire court space at the Virginia Volleyball Center (VVC). This is a new facility operated by the Northern Virginia Volleyball Association (NVVA). It is located at 45685 Oakbrook Court in Sterling, just off the corner of Church Street and Cascades Parkway. It is very close to the Dulles Sportsplex (about a half mile as the crow flies) and will be considered part of Fairfax West. We will begin hosting some of our leagues here immediately for the Winter II session. Some leagues will remain at the Dulles Sportsplex and we will maintain our space there for as long as we can agree to terms. We have no plans to relocate any Fairfax County based divisions at this time. Schedules will be issued by our Administrator shortly.

NVVA is the largest juniors club in the Chesapeake Region and it is very important to note that this facility is primarily for juniors. As such, all of our members are expected to conduct themselves accordingly. Some of the specific rules that will be enforced are:

· No alcohol on the premises. This includes the parking area.

· No smoking on the premises.

Other policies we will need to abide by are:

· Water only in the gym. No food. No sports drinks. No sodas.

· Our members are not to adjust the nets unless specifically directed to by the VVC staff.

· All minors (anyone under the age of 18) brought to the facility shall have adult supervision al all times.

· We are expected to leave the area we use in the same condition we find it. We ask that the last teams to play on each court take the time to be sure the chairs are in order and there is no trash lying around.

We look forward to establishing a long term partnership with the VVC and appreciate your cooperation in making this happen.
